The Venango County Chapter began forming in the fall of 1972. when the Pennsylvania legislature was considering a pro-life bill regarding abortion. Women from Franklin, Cranberry, and Oil City began meeting to discuss supporting this pro-life legislation and to make the public aware of the progress of this bill. After the Supreme Court handed down Roe vs. Wade on January 22, 1973, the group began scheduling information meetings to make the public aware of the humanity of the unborn and inhumanity of Roe vs. Wade.
The Organization has provided literature, brochures, and films to various people and organizations throughout the years and continues to do so today.
We have participated in the March for Life in Washington, D.C. since it's beginning in 1974.
